How much more expensive is the ipod touch compared to a normal ipod and an iphone?

I asked my mom for christmas for an ipod touch but i am worried about it being expensive and because of that my mom said she may not get it for me because of that?What si the cost difference of the ipod touch in comparison to the normal ipod and the iphone ? Is the ipod touch closer to the cost of the iphone or a normal ipod?

the 8gb (holds about 1750 songs) ipod touch is 300 dollars and the 16gb(holds about double that) is 400 dollars. the iphone is 400 dollars but remeber- its a phone and you have to pay monthly for it, once you buy the ipod touch its yours and you dont have to pay any monthly fees. the classic 80 gb ipod (holds 20,000 songs) is 250 dollars and the classic 160 gb ipod (holds 40, 000 songs) is 350 dollars. There are also ipod nanos which are 200 dollars if you want them to hold 2000 songs (8gb) or 150 dollars if you want them to hold 1000 songs (4gb) The ipod touch is expensive compared to the others considering that it doesnt have much memory and hold many songs, but it does a lot more. if you are just looking for something to play music on go with one of the other ipods but if you really like the idea of internet on an ipod, the touch screen, and being able to buy music right on your ipod- go with the ipod touch…it looks really cool =] i hope i helped

iPhone: 399.00 + Monthly Fee
Because of the monthly fee on the iPhone (which is ridiculous) the Ipod Classic and Ipod Touch are closer to eachother.

iphone 16gb $499 -
The Ipod touch 8gb costs $299. The 16gb costs $399, but you can find it for cheaper.
