So, the fact that the 2nd gen is bigger, doesn't make a difference at all. I would just return it. I have looked several places for a case for my first gen and just so that you know, Wal-Mart doesn't carry anything for the first gen. I have only seen them at best buy. Good Luck! By the way, take it out of the packaging and try it on your iTouch before you leave the store so you don't have to play Risk about it.
